EDITORS COMMENTS
This print takes us back in time to the early 20th century, when the London, Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS) sought to entice travelers to explore the picturesque wonders of Anglesey. Created by renowned artist Norman Wilkinson, this poster showcases a breathtaking view of Amlwch and Bull Bay on the Isle of Anglesey. The image transports us to a serene bay framed by majestic cliffs that stretch into the distance. The azure waters gently caress the rocky coast, creating a harmonious blend of sea and land. Wilkinson's artistic prowess shines through as he captures every intricate detail with precision and finesse. Wilkinson's talent was not limited to railway posters; he was also celebrated for his marine paintings. His expertise in capturing seascapes is evident in this artwork, as he masterfully portrays both the tranquility and grandeur of Anglesey's coastal beauty. As we gaze upon this vintage masterpiece, we are reminded of an era when travel was more than just reaching a destination—it was about embarking on an adventure filled with discovery and awe-inspiring sights.
