When Peter and Jackie, the London zoo chimpanzees, heard that their keeper was about to go on holiday, they apparently decided to do his washing for him, and may be cut down his laundry bill. Anyway, a washed-up and scrubbing board were ready to hand, together with plenty of material in the form of socks and shirts, and the monkey house, laundry was soon in full operation!.
Photo shows, a surprise for the chimps, when Peter, not very surprisingly, tumbles over the wash tub and the water swirls over the floor. Jackie, on right, ways quite a hurt look!.
